Emmerdale star Fiona Wade quit her Priya Sharma role on the award-winning ITV soap after 11 years in 2022 with her dramatic exit set to air in upcoming episodes
Emmerdale fans think they have figured out a Priya Sharma twist on the hit ITV soap amid her upcoming exit storyline.
It was reported in October that Fiona Wade, 43, was leaving her role of Priya after 11 years on the soap to pursue other acting opportunities.
And in upcoming scenes, David Metcalfe is distraught to learn that Priya is planning to move away for a job in London and takes drastic action, kidnapping their daughter Amba and disappearing along with his son, Theo.
Thankfully, Leyla Harding manages to track David down to a cottage and begs him to see sense, accusing him of running away from his problems.
But David is past the point of no return as he locks Leyla in the bathroom before she can call the police while back in the village, Priya makes a call to the police… have things gone too far?
Viewers now think they know what will happen next as they have predicted that David and the children will return to the village, where Priya will decide to leave Amba with David after all as she moves to London.
Taking to social media, one person said: “I don’t think Priya will take Amba. She’ll decide to leave her with David.”
To which a different account pointed out that could be unlikely as David has kidnapped Amba with another viewer writing: “Amba yeah, after all that, Priya will decide to let her stay with him.”

While another added: “You’re probably right, if Amba isn’t leaving Emmerdale, she’ll end up with David, or Rishi…”
However, other soap watchers disagreed with the theory with one writing: “No, I think she will still take Amba with her.”
While a different account put: “No way she leave her with David.”
It comes as Emmerdale star Fiona broke her silence on quitting her Priya role on the hit ITV soap after 11 years.

Speaking to Digital Spy, she said: “It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. Leaving my Emmerdale family is a big thing and it wasn’t easy filming my last scenes.
“When you’ve been somewhere for that long and that’s your every day, it’s hard and feels sad. But as every actor knows, you need to challenge yourself and that’s very important too.”
She added: “There are so many blessings that come your way when you’re in a show like Emmerdale. To be given a character that you can make yours, to have fantastic writers that enable you to grow in this amazing character. Plus, the friends you make and the experiences you have is invaluable.”
Emmerdale continues weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX.
